The majority of anti-dust mite mattresses sold on the market are treated with an acaricide treatment of natural or synthetic origin that will kill the mites (acaricide). This treatment, which is often ephemeral, is not always trivial due to the potential toxicity* of the products used (biocides). In addition, it does not address the real problem because dust mites, even when dead, remain allergenic.
