IMMUNOCTEM is particularly keen on the quality of its polycotton canvas (50% cotton/50% polyester) woven in the Vosges. While you can find non-woven bedding covers on the market (a tangle of 100% synthetic fibers: polyamide, polyester, etc.), as well as microfiber covers (very tightly woven) or 100% cotton, it should be noted that these covers are generally not coated with microporous polyurethane, which is the source of the remarkable effectiveness of IMMUNOCTEM anti-dust mite covers. Their filtration efficiency of dust mite allergens is generally much lower.

Weaving is a guarantee of quality. Our traditional weaving (warp and weft) ensures greater resistance over time, a better hold wash after wash, as well as a pleasant touch (on request, we will send you a sample of IMMUNOCTEM fabric). It should be noted that the IMMUNOCTEM fabric weighs about 160 g/m2 while many nonwovens, 100% polyester or 100% cotton weigh about 100 g/m2.

The absence of any acaricidal chemical treatment ensures long-lasting effectiveness during washing, as well as excellent safety (Oeko-Tex label of the French Institute of Textile and Clothing).

IMMUNOCTEM has always prioritized the highest quality for its customers. A mattress cover is subjected to a certain amount of stress due to the movement of sleepers. Therefore, while woven fabric is undeniably superior in terms of feel and durability, a woven polycotton blend appears to be the ideal solution.

Indeed, polyester fiber is more resistant than cotton fiber, and this blend ensures a long lifespan for the cover and, above all, better shape retention after washing. A 100% cotton fabric can sometimes shrink by 5 to 8% after the first few washes at 60 degrees Celsius. IMMUNOCTEM fabric has negligible shrinkage. Therefore, there's no need to choose a larger cover that will wrinkle. The microporous polyurethane coating (IMMUNOCTEM technology), applied only to the inner surface of IMMUNOCTEM anti-dust mite covers (the side in contact with the mattress, pillow, etc.), offers numerous advantages. This very thin, high-end coating (it's not a glued-on plastic film) penetrates the fabric pores and provides the best filtration efficiency for dust mite allergens. Furthermore, the micropores allow the sleeper's perspiration to pass through, ensuring high comfort. Awarded the Hohenstein Institute's breathability label (Germany).

The ease of handling of IMMUNOCTEM mattress covers is ensured by a three-sided zipper (two widths and one length). Given the significant weight of mattresses, it is indeed very difficult to put on (and remove…) a full mattress cover when the cover only has a zipper on two sides, or even just one! Since nothing is more unpleasant than buying a product with a poor-quality zipper, IMMUNOCTEM has chosen to equip all its covers with the benchmark in zipper technology, the YKK brand, well-known to professionals. The covers are manufactured in northern France, in keeping with the long tradition of high-end bedding. All interior seams are reinforced with bias binding, and a fabric strip under the zipper helps limit the passage of dust mite allergens.

All IMMUNOCTEM bedding covers are white, as you will then put your usual bedding (fitted sheets, pillowcases, or duvet cover) on top. IMMUNOCTEM anti-dust mite covers are easy to care for: machine wash at 60 degrees Celsius, about twice a year. While washing the IMMUNOCTEM anti-dust mite cover is no problem, each time the mattress cover is opened, dust mite allergens will be released into the air. For this reason, we advise you to limit the number of washes per year.
